President launches PSC strategic plan

President and First Secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has launched the Public Service Commission PSC 2019-2020 Strategic Plan and commissioned 25 buses for civil servants at the Harare institute of Technology HIT.

The fleet of buses has been availed for use by civil servants to alleviate transport challenges they are facing.

Speaking at the launch Cde Mnangagwa urged the civil service to put the concerns of the people above personal benefit.

In the 2018 people’s manifesto the ZANU PF Party through Cde Mnangagwa promised servant leadership.

Cde Mnangagwa added that the civil service is urged to always separate public & personal interests & to put the concerns of our people above personal benefit.

“We must remain lean, prudent, honest & upright in our conduct & in the exercise of power. I challenge civil servants to be responsible and good at listening, thinking and executing their tasks and roles with efficiency. I equally challenge civil servants to constantly remould their commitment to serve people.”

The PSC 2019-2020 Strategic Plan is to facilitate the establishment and management of a devolved system of public administration that effectively leads and peoples of Zimbabwe to greater heights of sustainable and inclusive social and economic growth and prosperity for all citizens.
