PREPARATION for the 19th December National People`s Conference is on course, with the host province Mashonaland pulling all stops to ensure that this year’s annual national people’s conference will be a success.
Addressing an Extra Ordinary Province Coordinating Committee(PCC) meeting in Bindura today, Zanu PF Provincial Chairperson Cde Kazembe Kazembe, who is also Minister of Home Affairs confirmed the preparations, saying they have already identify three possible venues for the annual indaba.

Cde Kazembe highlighted that despite a setback brought about by the Covid 19 virus, the Province is adamant it will host a memorial indaba. “The annual conference will be held in Mashonaland Central this year and we want people in the province to be involved. Some of the items required such as food cannot be provided by an individual but the province as a unit,” he said.

He said they have set up various committees and there is a lot of enthusiasm around hosting the national conference.
“We are going to discuss the conference work plan which is going to be presented by Cde Dokora, soon as the conference work plan is approved by the PCC, and then we will pass it to the party leadership for approval and guidance,” he added.

The proposed venues are new the Zanu PF site in Bindura, just few kilometres along the Bindura-Harare Highway, Chipadze Secondary School and Bindura University. “ “The management and protocol committee visited these places and was looking at thing such as the surface, easy access from different areas, infrastructure like offices and storerooms, availability of water and electricity and capacity to host delegates.

Meanwhile, the province is building a Conference Centre, which will became the second after the Midlands Convention Centre which will also have provinces offices, for the party leadership. The Province office have been housed at the Bindura Showgrounds, will soon move to the new site, as Party offices which are over 50 percent complete and expected to be complete before the hosting of the 19th December People`s Conference.

The 19th Annual National People’s Conference is expected to provide appropriate policy direction to Government and outline achievable goals in line with President E.D Mnangagwa`s Vision 2030 that seeks to create an upper middle income economy.
