All is set for the official launch of the national political dialogue by President Emmerson Mnangagwa this Friday.
This was revealed by ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo soon after emerging from a Politburo meeting held at the revolutionary party’s headquarters this Wednesday.
The ZANU PF party held its 328th ordinary session of the Politburo today where President Mnangagwa congratulated all progressive Zimbabweans who attended the 39th independence celebrations held in the country’s ten provinces.
The President expressed gratitude to his Nigerian counter part President Muhammadu Buhari who donated a plane load of goodies and half a million United States dollars to assist communities affected by Cyclone Idai.
The President Cde Mnangagwa briefed the members that he received an envoy from Nigerian President Buhari who donated a plane load of goods and US$500 000 in cash to assist the families affected by Cyclone Idai. The party also received 5000 road runners to support the Cyclone Idai survivors he said.
Cde Patrick Chinamasa gave a report on political dialogue where he said preparations are progressing well for the official launch on the 17th of this month.
The delegation dispatched by President Mnangagwa to observe the just ended South African elections presented its findings which Cde Khaya Moyo said were in tandem with the African Union and SADC that the polls were free, fair and credible.
On the restructuring of Harare and Bulawayo provinces the ZANU PF spokesperson said the process is on going and a full report will be made available in due course.
