Several local companies continue to heed the call by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to join hands with Government in the fight against Covid 19.

The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) is the latest corporate to contribute towards the fight against COVID 19 after it donated the former Beitbridge Rainbow Hotel as a transit center for Zimbabweans returning from South Africa.

Additionally, NSSA has donated the Ekuseleni Medical Centre in Bulawayo for treatment of Covid19 patients as well as contributing towards the repair of a ventilator machine at Mutare General hospital.

With these donations, NSSA joins a long list of corporates who have supported Government efforts to combat Covid 19.

Other companies that have made notable donations include Sakunda Holdings which has spent over Us $3m in upgrading Rock foundation so that it caters for Covid 19 patients.

Another company Fossil Group donated a consignment of disinfectant to be used on ZUPCO buses during the 22-day lockdown.

President Mnangagwa has called upon Zimbabweans to disregard political, racial or whatever differences and unite to defeat the Covid19 pandemic.
