ZANU PF Secretary for Finance and acting Party Spokesperson Cde Patrick Chinamasa, has commended the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, for the various initiatives she is undertaking to uplift livelihoods of Zimbabweans.
Speaking at the official Fish harvesting and Graduation of Fish Farming Trainees at Party Headquarters, Cde Chinamasa said the various socio-economic initiatives undertaken by the First Lady include helping orphans, the less privileged and raising awareness on Covid19 pandemic.
"I want to thank the First Lady for the many projects you are undertaking. These projects include helping orphans, the less privileged of society and raising awareness on the Covid19 pandemic. Also thank you First Lady for encouraging youths and women to undertake projects that ensure sustainable livelihoods.”
Cde Chinamasa urged the First Lady Amai Mnangagwa to add her voice in condemning the growing scourge of deforestation across the country.
"Your Excellency our forests are diminishing by the day owing to veld fires and other issues. I kindly ask for you to add your voice and help raise awareness on deforestation as your voice will go a long way in informing the public.”
The First Lady, Amai Mnangagwa donated 1 800 fish fingerlings to ZANU PF and constructed a 180 square metres pond at the Party headquarters that was home to the fingerlings.
Since its victory in the harmonised elections last year ZANU PF has rolled out a number of self-help projects for its members. Among the projects unveiled by the Party that have proven popular with its members include bread baking, chicken rearing and candle making.
