First Secretary and President His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa says ZANU PF is strong and will not be shaken by hostile propaganda.
President Mnangagwa is on record for saying that Zimbabweans must remain united and resolute in the fight against renewed glaring and unjustified attacks by the country’s perennial detractors, both inside and outside our borders.
President Mnangagwa has in the past warned detractors that what they are doing by using popular culture and arts to attack and undermine our nation, unity and value systems cannot be allowed to continue.
Yesterday, whilst addressing the Provincial Chairpersons at the ZANU PF Headquarters in Harare, President Mnanagwa spoke of how strong ZANU PF is compared to the detractors.
“Of course I am aware that we are subjected to hostile propaganda by our detractors both inside and outside the country. These detractors should make you stronger not weaker. Vanokutukai, vanotuka musangano, vanotuka leadership (those who scold you, scold the party scold leadership), should make you stronger not make you weaker," the President said.
“They say so because they know that you are strong and they say these things against you to make you weak, but it should be the opposite."
President Mnangagwa went on to urge ZANU PF leadership to denounce violence like that of the planned July 31 Movement, as they are usually funded projects from outside Zimbabwe.
“We had the July 31 planned protests, kwese kwamunenge muri kuma Province ikoko, you denounce it, it’s a project yema detractors edu, funded from outside and funded by those who do not want to see ZANU PF succeed.”
