ZANU PF Youth League Political Commissar Cde Taurai Kandishaya says His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has put gold in every Zimbabwean's hands through the introduction of the Zimbabwe Gold ZiG.

This he said during a Johane the 5th of Africa International Church meeting held in Chivhu during which he explained that it can only be the local people who put value in the newly introduced currency.

"I am happy that the Johane the 5th of Africa International Church moves with the ruling Party, ZANU PF. The introduction of the new currency ZiG which is backed by gold is the same as you who are backed by Archbishop Makururu. The currency works where it is backed. A person with 1 million United States Dollars can be broke and one with 100 ZiG prosper," he said.

"It is President Mnangagwa who has managed to let a commuter omnibus operator, a driver, a teacher and myself touch gold in our hands. Everytime you see the ZiG, I want you to think of the gold reserves that are backing the currency you are holding."

Kandishaya added that President Mnangagwa is like the Biblical Solomon who has shown wisdom and that it is crucial for the church members follow in the footsteps of their wise leader and choose their friends wisely and know which doors to knock on.
