ACCELERATE ELECTION PROMISES: PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA

ZANU PF President and First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa has urged the Party to vigilantly pursue the Party’s 2018 election manifesto promises as it draws near to the second anniversary of its resounding victory in the 2018 harmonised elections. Speaking during the 341 session of the Politburo in Harare today, President Mnangagwa reminded the PB members that the revolutionary Party must go back to the drawing board and measure itself against what has been done on the ground. “This meeting is being held against the backdrop of the coming commemoration of the two year mark since our Party won the historic 2018 harmonised general elections. The fact that we have three more years before the elections must give impetus to a more effective and more diligent review of our performance to date. The Party must therefore take this period to revisit the Party manifesto with the view of accelerating the delivery of the promises we set out to undertake towards improving the quality of life of our people," President Mnangagwa said. "Our Party is the people’s Party and a Party of order, structure and discipline. Due process and appropriate platforms must be used when undertaking such reviews. We should never give room to  non-members to speak authoritatively on our behalf with regards to pertinent political, economic or social issues “ The ZANU PF 2018 manifesto is clear on how it intends to improve the livelihoods of people.
