Passers-by using the Beitbridge Border Post have expressed their satisfaction at how the upgrading has eased their travel.

The border post which used to be a nightmare, now was upgraded between in 2021 and has seen a huge traffic flow.

Speaking during a vox pop, drivers and pedestrians shared their joy.

Prince Ndlovu a truck driver said, "I am very happy with Beitbridge Border Post. In the past the processing time was very long and you had to go from one place to the other. This has changed totally as everything is done under one roof," he said.

Sheila Ndumo said, "The upgraded Border Post is very beautiful. We can now scan our passports and pass the border within a few minutes."

Moleen Maramba said, "The process has become so smooth because of the separation of the traffic. We no longer use the same place with truck drivers or those with buses. This has made life easier for us and we want to thank our President, His Excellency, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa for this project which has made life easy for us."

Tellme Nyeredzi from Chiredzi said, "We are very excited about it because we no longer spent hours here."

Thomas Mutamba said, the border post is "Less congested now and its design allows for fresh air to flow freely."
