FIRST LADY, AMAI MNANGAGWA CALLS FOR COVID19 MEDIA AWARDS ENTRIES

The First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, in partnership with the Merck Foundation is calling for media awards entries on Corona Virus awareness. The call for entries follows the outbreak of the #covid19 pandemic which has killed thousands of people globally and left others hospitalised. Under the theme “RAISING AWARENESS ON HOW TO STAY SAFE AND KEEP PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY HEALTHY DURING CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN,” the Media recognition awards are available for English African countries. Journalists will be awarded for their most creative and influential media work aiming to raise awareness and sensitizing communities about this alarming pandemic at a regular basis. Those who excel will be eligible to win these awards. Sending more entries to showcase work at a regular basis will increase winning chances. Submissions are open to journalists from print, online, radio and multimedia platforms from English speaking African countries by 30 June 2020. Categories include multimedia, print media, online media and radio. The prize money is USD500 per category.
