GRAIN Millers Association of Zimbabwe has donated 30 tonnes of mealie meal valued at ZWL$300 000 towards the ZANU PF 18th National People’s Conference to be hosted at Goromonzi High next week.Receiving the donation on behalf of the Party, Politburo member and Secretary for Finance Cde Patrick Chinamasa said the gesture by GMAZ will go a long way in ensuring the successful hosting of the 18th People’s Conference."We would like to thank GMAZ for the gift of 30 tonnes of mealie meal for the conference to be held in Goromonzi next week. This is a good gesture as the prosperity of ZANU PF is the prosperity of Zimbabwe".Cde Chinamasa urged GMAZ to remain patriotic by not abusing the mealie meal subsidy extended to them by His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa."We are going through a drought year and GMAZ should be patriotic by selling mealie meal at reasonable prices, Government has chipped in with a subsidy please don't abuse it. Your margins must be reasonable".GMAZ chair Tafadzwa Musarara said his organisation was honoured to contribute to the ZANU PF conference and assured Zimbabweans that mealie meal will be available at reasonable prices."We are happy to be associated with the Party and we always do this every year. We also do a lot of charity work. We are a patriotic organisation and are grateful for the subsidy. The subsidy is unique and we will certainly not abuse it. Whenever we have problems we, approach the government".
