Johane, the 5th of Africa International Church, has prayed for the successful hosting of the 22nd ZANU PF National People’s Conference to be held in Manicaland Province.
The church members who gathered at the Rushanga Shrine (where the church originated), also prayed for the country and its development.
Speaking during the two days of prayer, the church Founder, Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu taught the church members to love their motherland and pray for its leadership.
"Manicaland Province is hosting the 22nd ZANU PF National People’s Conference this year and we must therefore pray for its successful hosting. ZANU PF is the ruling Party which brought about our independence and freedom from colonial rule, we must therefore pray for it and the Party leadership led by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. We also pray for peace to continue to prevail," Archbishop Makururu said.
The Guest of Honour, Honourable Misheck Mugadza thanked the church for the role it is playing.
"This place is very important and special because this is where it all began. I want to thank J5 for coming to pray for the successful hosting of the ZANU PF's National People’s Conference. I want to thank your church for being an extension of ZANU PF. We are also going to be hosting the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo this year. We are expecting at least 3000 people from 63 countries to be hosted here so please pray for these two big events," Cde Mugadza said.
J5 church members came from as far as Masvingo and Midlands to also be taught the founding principles of the church, its history and where it is going.
