ZANU PF Information and Publicity Department Director Cde Farai Marapira says the recent victories in the 14 June by-elections are testament to His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa's masterstroke.
Cde Marapira said the people are one with revolutionary Party, ZANU PF.
"We have said this for quite a while now. The policies of President Mnangagwa are palpable. The activities that ZANU PF are doing towards fulfilling its mandate of resolving the economic challenges facing the nation are palpable. You find that in Binga which was predominantly an opposition stronghold, we have managed to garner 900 votes and 100 something for the opposition. This is a serious margin. You look at other Constituencies like Gutu East, we have managed to garner 9000, in Insiza we have managed to garner 7000. So this is an endorsement of the Party, an endorsement of the economic policies that are obtaining under ZANU PF. It is an endorsement of the people that there is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel. The people believe in ZANU PF. The people see the work that is being pushed under the leadership of President Mnangagwa and the people are at one with the revolutionary Party, ZANU PF.
"The President's masterstroke has been the concept of devolution. Devolution has ensured that development reaches each and every community. It has shown the people that ZANU PF is caring, ZANU PF is interested in their future and ZANU PF is indeed taking this country forward," he said.
"We have also seen a lot of growth and maturity politically within our populace. They have moved away from the toxicity of insults and politics which does not hinge on facts and the realities that are obtaining on the ground. We now see a populace which is development oriented, which is objective in its analysis and this is a very healthy political environment."
