ZANU PF First Secretary and President Cde E.D Mnangagwa has said the Revolutionary Party is a Party of order with no interest in meddling in the political life of the opposition hence its focus is to be people oriented through accelerating productivity.
Addressing the 341st Ordinary Session of Politburo meeting at the ZANU PF Headquarters President Mnangagwa said ZANU PF is a revolutionary Party, a Party of Liberation, a Party with a rich ideology, history and a vision for the future.
President Mnangagwa also reiterated that the Revolutionary Party have no interest in the politics of opposition and its mandate is to serve all Zimbabweans leaving no one behind.
“As a Party we have no interest in the politics of the opposition, our agenda and focus is to improve the quality of life of all Zimbabweans, leaving no one behind. Our Party is a People’s Party and a Party of order, structure and discipline. Due process and the appropriate platforms must be used when undertaking such reviews. We should never give room to non-members to speak authoritatively on our behalf with members with regards pertinent political, economic or social positions, which the Party has pronounced,” said President Mnangagwa.
President also urged Party leadership to revisit the winning People’s Party manifesto with the view of accelerating the delivery of the promises set out.
“The Party must therefore take this period to revisit the party manifesto with the view of accelerating the delivery of the promises we set out to undertake towards improving the quality of life of our people,” said President Mnangagwa.
On the political front, President Mnangagwa also said the Party continue to see acts that seek to out rightly destabilize the peace, unity and harmony we are enjoying, in particular, through the use of platforms in the health, education and security sectors.
“We shall never quiver or capitulate in the face of these machinations. ZANU PF is a revolutionary Party, a Party of Liberation, a Party with a rich ideology, history and a vision for the future. This is the character of our Party is stronger than any challenge we may face no matter from what front or force,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also emphasized the need to facilitate a people centred economic development which will ensure equitable development towards the achievement of vision 2030.
He challenged party members to work closely with the Government.
He further said party members should not be fooled by those who cry loud than the bereaved with regards the economic situation in the country.
“More often than not, they conspire with our detractors and are themselves inflictors of the pain our people are facing. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing they are selfish, devious, cunning and deceptive in their modus operandi. ‘’Hongu zvipopi hazvisvunuri musi mumwe”, but as the Party’s senior leadership, we must me more vigilant, astute and discerning.”
