ZANU PF Acting Secretary for Information and Publicity has said future deliberations between former liberations movements should foster for regional integration towards the growth of each nation economically and the betterment of ordinary citizens.
Speaking to the media this afternoon Cde Patrick Chinamasa said the former liberation movements are vigilant and aware of external forces that seek to destroy their economy and hard worn independence.
“During our meeting we were able to identify the threats between the two parties (ZANU PF / ANC) and the rest of the liberation movements in our region.
“We agreed that we should strengthen integration of our region and of our economy. It will take time but we will get there. Work towards putting regional integration first on the agenda. Our meetings going forward will be on growing our economies. ”said Cde Chinamasa.
The statement by the Revolutionary Party comes after ZANU PF and ANC met in Harare strengthening co-operation in the wake of a renewed onslaught against former liberation movements by Western powers, who are working with local and regional opposition parties.
Cde Chinamasa also said the meeting held by the two sister liberation movements reached a consensus to have vigilance over fake news and social media agenda setting for the two (ZANU PF / ANC).
He also said they agreed on consolidating gains of the liberation struggle and shun external threats on liberations movements being channelled through the abuse of social media.
“We should consolidate gains of our liberation struggle. Maximise on the gains of our liberation. External threats are on liberations movements. That’s why we should defend our gains.
“There is no crisis in Zimbabwe or South Africa or Africa but only challenges. We have challenges of Cyclone IDAI and COVID-19. Challenges of successive droughts which have affected our agriculture and economy. These don't need such interventions. ”said Cde Chinamasa.
Cde Chinamasa also said ZANU PF has been devastated and disturbed by the Chivhu shootings were two patriotic soldiers were shot and killed and warns those behind such treasonous acts to desist.
He also warned opposition leaders Chamisa and Biti not to behave like children playing with fire in support of such violent activities disturbing the current peace and harmony being enjoyed by Zimbabweans under the new dispensation.
“Chamisa and Biti should not be like children playing with fire. We are not surprised by their stance. We know they have been sending renegades for training abroad so as to cause mayhem in our peaceful Zimbabwe. Vanguard has been responsible for a lot of violence in our communities. ”said Cde Chinamasa.
Cde Chinamasa also reiterated that Zimbabwe is not a colony of any country saying the nation is independent and sovereign.
