PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged ZANU PF members to be on the guard against residual elements of the vanquished G40 cabal who are vilifying the Party and country via social media from their foreign hideouts.
Addressing the 345th session of the ZANU PF Politburo President Mnangagwa said Party members must remain focused on advancing Party aims and objectives.
The call by President Mnangagwa comes at a time when fugitive G40 leaders such as Saviour Kasukuwere, Johnthan Moyo, Walter Mzembi and Patrick Zhuwawo are making spirited efforts to paint Zimbabwe as a nation in crisis.
“As exponents of our Party and its ideology, we must be alive to the clandestine machinations of our detractors, the G40 cabal and their sympathizers. This consortium is using social media, among other means to launch an onslaught on our country and Party. These perennial nay-sayers must be doomed to the political abyss once for all and must never be allowed to succeed.
I applaud the organs of the Party, the youth, women, and veterans of the struggle for their active determination to advance the Party aims and objectives. I urge them to continue mobilising our people to join and participate in the Party’s activities, with strict adherence to Party principles rules, regulations and values”. ENDS
