ZANU PF MOURNS NATIONAL HERO

ZANU PF is mourning the passing on of the late National Hero Brig-Gen Ruphus Chigudu who passed away last Thursday.

In a press statement, Acting Secretary of Information and Publicity Cde Patrick Chinamasa shared the Party's grief.

"ZANU PF joins His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa in mourning the passing on of Brigadier General Ruphus Chigudu who died on Thursday 24 September 2020," said the Statement.

"Brigadier General Chigudu was born on 11 December 1955 and joined the liberation struggle under ZANLA in 1975 in Mozambique. He later joined the Zimbabwe National Army ZNA during the integration process in 1980. He rose through the ranks to become Brigadier General and he is survived by his wife and three children.

"We applaud the decision taken by the Party to confer the status of National Hero."

The National Hero will be buried today.
