Masvingo — Archbishop Andby Makururu, founder of the Johane the 5th of Africa International Church, delivered a powerful keynote address at the launch of Witness of Good Works for Economic Development (WGW4ED), a ZANU PF affiliate, during a vibrant gathering at the Flamboyant Hotel in Masvingo.
As Patron of WGW4ED, Archbishop Makururu stressed the importance of unity, discipline and unwavering support for the ruling party and President Emmerson Mnangagwa. “We as an affiliate follow the Party protocol guided by the values and ethos of the ruling Party ZANU PF. Witness of Good Works is there to support the President and the government towards national development,” he said.
The Archbishop encouraged members to buy ZANU PF membership cards and fully align themselves with party programmes. “Let us unite as a family, let us support our President as Witness of Good Works and let us affiliate wholly to the ruling party,” he urged, drawing applause from attendees.
He also touched on the need to protect children from drug and substance abuse, promote national unity and uphold respect for Party structures and protocol. Archbishop Makururu announced plans for a nationwide tour to meet WGW4ED members and engage with returnees, emphasising that resource mobilization will be crucial in driving the organisation’s mission forward.
The launch was attended by several ZANU PF officials, including Masvingo District DCC Chairman Cde Tawanda Dube and Secretary for Security Cde Esau Mutanho, who praised the Archbishop for his commitment to development and ideological grounding.
