ZANU PF Provincial Secretaries of Labour and Employment Creation met at the Party Headquarters this Tuesday to deliberate on issues affecting the country’s workforce.
The meeting which also drew players from the industry, was officiated by the Politburo Member and Secretary for Labour and Employment Creation Cde Richard Ndhlovu.
Speaking during the meeting, Cde Ndhlovu said the meeting marks the beginning of a new and transformative era.
“Today’s workshop for Provincial Secretaries for Labour and Employment Creation marks the beginning of a new and transformative era within the Revolutionary Party, ZANU PF, particularly in the sphere of labour and employment creation. The importance of labour and employment creation in driving mass mobilisation cannot be overstated.
“Through these combined efforts, ZANU PF seeks to build a labour environment that upholds justice, promotes productivity, and advances the core values of the Revolution towards ensuring that both workers and the nation at large benefit from improved labour systems and practices.
A key focus is the empowerment and intergration of special groups, namely, women, youth, and persons with disabilities into the mainstream economy. These groups often face barriers that limit their access to opportunities, therefore, targeted interventions are essential. Provincial Scretaries must ensure that employment creation strategies are inclusive, responsive, and tailored to the unique needs and capabilities of these groups. This resonates with the Second Republic ‘s National Development Philosophy of: “Leaving No One and No Place Behind.”
