The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Matabeleland South Province, Hon. Albert Nguluvhe, has reaffirmed Government's commitment to youth empowerment through sport following his attendance as Guest of Honour at the Dulibhadzimu United FC a (community club)2026 Annual General Meeting, held at Canvas Corner (Skeem Beit) in Beitbridge.
Addressing club members, supporters, sponsors, traditional leaders, ZIFA representatives and other stakeholders, Hon. Nguluvhe described football as a powerful vehicle for youth empowerment, social cohesion, economic development and nation-building. He commended Dulibhadzimu United FC for providing opportunities for young people to develop their talents, build discipline and positively represent the Beitbridge community.
The Minister urged the newly elected executive to lead the club with integrity, transparency and accountability, emphasizing that effective leadership is built on service, unity and vision. He congratulated the outgoing executive for their dedication and wished the incoming leadership success as they steer the club forward.
Hon. Nguluvhe also challenged the club to take a leading role in the fight against drug and substance abuse, encouraging players, coaches, parents, schools, churches, traditional leaders and the wider community to work together in protecting young people through sport. He stressed that football provides purpose, discipline and positive role models, helping keep youth away from harmful influences.
As part of his continued support for community sport, Hon. Nguluvhe announced that he will sponsor 50 match tickets for every remaining Dulibhadzimu United FC home fixture during the season. The initiative will specifically benefit underprivileged members of the community, allowing more residents to support their local team and strengthen community participation in football.
The Minister also commended the club's sponsors and partners for their invaluable contribution towards the growth of Dulibhadzimu United FC. Among the notable contributions announced were:

The Annual General Meeting also ushered in a new leadership team for the club. Mr. Chris Kaurimbo was elected Chairperson, with Mr. Ashley Musheri elected Vice Chairperson. Mr. Mandla "Combat" Moyo and Mr. Nqaba Mhlanga were overwhelmingly retained as Secretary General and Vice Secretary General respectively, while Mr. Michael Terry was elected Finance Secretary.
Hon. Nguluvhe congratulated the newly elected executive and encouraged them to work together with all stakeholders to strengthen the club, attract more investment and continue developing football talent in Beitbridge.
The Minister reiterated Government's commitment to creating an enabling environment for sport through partnerships with local authorities, the private sector and development partners, noting that investment in football is an investment in the future of Zimbabwe's youth.
