We have been privileged to live at a time like this to witness a new era in Zimbabwe’s historical journey. His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has woken up an army of men and women who are determined to work for Zimbabwe and very proud of it too. Their work, well thought out, makes you easily conclude that, indeed, President Mnangagwa is Zimbabwe’s Second Munhumutapa.

You wonder, where were these foot soldiers before? Why were they silent? What kept them in the "dark" for so long? Its questions you can not quite answer and whose answers are probably nothing your ordinary mind cannot decipher.

Here we are, now and witnessing a significant milestone in our time. The birth of these men and women, coupled with the deliberate ideological grounding currently occurring within the ZANU PF Party structures and led by the Party's Secretary General, Cde Advocate Jacob Mudenda, one can never go wrong. If you add the call to come and join the winning team, then building Zimbabwe with all hands on deck is inevitable.

What made me think so deeply about this was yesterday's Mabvuku-Tafara Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill engagement. Amidst that massive turnout was Central Committee Member Cde Kudakwashe Tagwirei's question to the old lady, Unica Kanhukamwe. "Munoda ini na Scott, tikuitirei?" Just like that changing lives.

It speaks volumes into one’s need and not want. It’s not a luxury. It’s one’s lifetime opportunity. An opportunity to change your life. An opportunity to transform oneself totally. An opportunity to look back and say if it wasn't for so and so, tgis could never have happened. It is an opportunity to testify that indeed miracles do happen. You only have yourself to blame for making a wrong decision.

What makes it impactful is that one knows where the shoe pinches them the most, giving them very little time to make that once in a lifetime decision that we have only seen in movies. It’s a decision the individual makes on their own.

Unfortunately, many of us are not prepared for it when it comes. But these meet the people engagements are providing an opportunity for people to testify that indeed ZANU PF is people centric.
