President Mnangagwa has urged the Party’s Politburo to continue to lead by example in uniting the Party and nation at large.
Giving his opening remarks at the 388th ordinary session of the Politburo, ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has said ZANU PF will not be deterred by those who are denigrating the national interests and ongoing people centered projects and programmes being implemented by the Revolutionary Party.
“In this spirit, as the Conference roars into life, I call on us the Party’s Politburo to continue to lead by example in uniting the Party and nation, towards the growth of our revolutionary movement and prosperity of our motherland, Zimbabwe.
“Shame, shame, shame on all those who are denigrating our national interests, and the ongoing people centered projects and programmes. We are ZANU PF and will not be deterred. We reject the negative and harmful characterisations of our Party and country, "said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also reiterated that under the Second Republic Zimbabwe is a nation where the sanctity of life is honoured and preciously safeguarded.
“I am disheartened with the sad and unfortunate cases of criminality often claiming the lives of young people and children, including alleged ritual murders, sexual violence and abuse among others.
“We are a nation where sanctity of life is honoured, celebrated and preciously safeguarded. Those who have a propensity of taking advantage of our national character trait have no place in our country. Tiri nyika ine rugare nerunyararo,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also urges the Party Leadership and structures to conduct the Party affairs during the National People’s Conference in the spirit of renowned Revolutionary culture.
This year’s Annual National People’s Conference will be running under the theme Attaining Vision 2030 through Economic Empowerment and Value Addition, brick by brick, stone upon stone and step by step.
