ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged women league to remain committed to the founding values of the Party and a shared vision for a prosperous Zimbabwe.
Giving his keynote address at THE LAUNCH OF THE ZANU PF WOMEN’S LEAGUE EMPOWERMENT FUND, President Mnangagwa said the Women’s League is the backbone and mainstay of the revolutionary mass Party, ZANU PF and must continue to guarantee that the Party remain forever strong, popular and dominant.
“As we journey towards Vision 2030, I call upon women to play their role in nurturing unity, peace and development in our country. Let us remain committed to the founding values of our Party, and a shared vision for a prosperous Zimbabwe.
“ The Women’s League is the backbone and mainstay of our revolutionary mass Party, ZANU PF, continue to guarantee that our Party remains forever strong, popular and dominant. ZANU PF iZhou. Tinoramba tichifamba vanohukura vachingohukura. I further urge you to continue demonstrating exemplary and principled leadership as we advance our people centred policies. Mangwanani, masikati nemanheru, ngatirambe takamira muchokwadi, tichitsigira musangano wedu, nenyika yedu. As you go back to your respective provinces, districts, wards and villages, "said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also challenged the women’s league to shun any form of division and reject those who try to fragment the Women’s league.
“I challenge you to shun any form of divisions. Expose, denounce and reject those who try to fragment the Women’s League and divide the Party. Finally, I commend you all and our partners for the unity of purpose in our Party work and the implementation of programmes and projects.
“ Nyika inovakwa, inotongwa, inonamatigwa nevene vayo / ilizwe lakhiwa, libuswe, likhu-le-ke-lwe, ngabanikazi balo. Together, let us continue to build the Zimbabwe ‘we all want,”said President Mnangagwa.
The ZANU PF Womens’ league empowerement fund was running under the theme , “The Power of Empowered Women: Transforming lives, Transforming Societies, Towards Vision 2030,”
The theme captures the critical aspects of the revolutionary mass Party’s mission, which includes the empowerment of women under the Second Republic being led by President Mnangagwa.
