Chikwanda Secondary School is a learning centre providing over 300 learners with an education closer to their homes.
The school, which is central to Zano, Harawe, Mashonga, and other primary schools, is helping students cut their 15-kilometre trips to the nearest secondary schools.
Many parents who understand the importance of this school to the educational and physical well-being of their children take turns to come and help build the Administration block which the Head Teacher Cde Mk Mhike says will help them meet the requirements of being an examination centre.
"We have an enrollment of 380 students who graduate the surrounding primary schools. Without this learning centre, these children would have to walk over 12 kilometers to the nearest secondary schools. Honourable Mudhumi is helping us build this Administration block and this will help us be recognized as an examination Centre. We are extremely grateful for the support as we provide our learners with the necessary tools to help build our country."
Cde Esina Makombe said, "We are grateful for the support we are getting from the MP, Cde Mudhumi, who is taking a leaf from President Mnangagwa who has vision 2030 to achieve."
