ZANU PF First Secretary and President, His Excellency, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa today welcomed new Central Committee members to the 129th Session of the Central Committee.
In his welcome message he highlighted the need for the new members to keep in mind that they found others already at task hence their need to coexist.
“It is my honour and priviledge to address this 129th Ordinary Session of the Central Committee of our colossal, revolutionary mass Party, ZANU PF. I particularly extend a special welcome to new members of the Central Committee, who are attending this meeting for the first time, following the filling of vacancies within the CC, across all Provinces," President Mnangagwa said.
"Mawana mune vamwe vagara vari mundima vachibata basa. Ndino vimba tichashanda tose takabatana, kuti Musangano ne Nyika yekwedu zvibudirire. Tinokugamuchirayi, Siyalamukela. You are welcome."
The First Secretary also took time to urge the rest of the Central Committee members to continue to engage with the various communities and help address the challenges being faced by the populace.
"As the leadership, it is my expectation that we take a keen interest on the ongoing developments in our economic space, particularly on investments, trade and partnerships, while preparing communities, in readiness for the successful roll out of intended projects," he said.
"The ongoing projects throughout the country are a reflection of our Party's vision for national development. in all that we do, we remain grounded on unity, discipline, patriotism, loyalty, hard-honest work, focus and commitment to inclusive development.
"As we deliberate and subsequently go back to our respective provinces, let us continue to engage with our communities, framing practical solutions and proffering ideas that address the challenges faced by our people. Equally, we must be proactive and harness opportunities at the community level for the collective good of our country."
