Women empowerment a revolutionary instrument says VP Chiwenga

ZANU PF Second Secretary and Vice President General (RTD) Dr Chiwenga has said the women’s league empowerment fund is more than just capital but a revolutionary instrument.

Giving his remarks introducing the First Secretary and President of ZANU PF Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa at the ZANU PF Women’s League Empowerment Fund Launch, Vice President General (RTD), Dr C.G.D.N Chiwenga said the launch is a historic affirmation of the revolutionary party’s unshakable commitment to the empowerment of women.

Vice President Chiwenga also added that the women are the custodians of the values and builders of the nation.

“We are gathered here today to witness not just a launch but a historic a affirmation of our revolutionary party’s unshakable commitment to the empowerment of women. We are expected to be the backbone of our Party ZANU PF.

“The custodians of our values and builders of our nation. Therefore, you should be exemplary leaders and champions who continue to inspire and mentor the next generation that is the youth.Vana venyu avo vechidiki ndeavo vachiri kukura moda kuvasiya nelagacy ipi mavadzidzisa chii kuti ramangwana rehondo yechimurenga chakarwiwa risakanganikwe.

“Distinguish members of the women’s league this empowerment fund is more than just capital it is a revolutionary instrument, and it is about transforming women from mere participants into owners from supporters into the economic powerhouses and wealth creators for their families' communities and nation at large.

“I therefore implore the women’s league to return integrity and transparency as fundamentals of good leadership, "said Vice President Chiwenga.

Vice President Chiwenga also saluted President Mnangagwa for guiding and leading the Party towards becoming an empowered upper middle-income society.

“True leadership is not about power but purpose, you should serve with humility and act fairly, embrace resilience and priorities service .These initiatives did not emerge from a vacuum ,it is the brain child of our party ZANU PF guided by our President His Excellency Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa of leaving no one and no place behind towards becoming an empowered upper middle-income society.

“The launch of this empowerment fund is clarion call to deepen unity, safeguard our economic sovereignty and to ensure that no fifth columnist will derail our march forward, "said Vice President Chiwenga.
