Yesterday, ZANU PF Matabeleland South Province convened a Beitbridge West Constituency meeting as part of its ongoing provincial programme to visit all constituencies, assess the state of the party, and reinforce unity and cooperation among its structures. The meeting was hosted by the Member of Parliament for Beitbridge West Constituency, Hon. Thusani Ndou, and was officiated by the ZANU PF Matabeleland South Provincial Chairman, Hon. Minister Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndhlovu, who attended as Guest of Honour. The engagement formed part of the province’s broader efforts to consolidate party cohesion, strengthen grassroots unity and ensure effective coordination.
The meeting was attended by senior party leadership drawn from various levels of the party. Present were Central Committee Members Cde Morris Muhambi, Cde Mazibisa and Cde Martin Mdawu, along with Central Committee Member Qagiwe Mpande and Cde Muleya. Also in attendance were Central Committee Member and National Executive member of the Youth League Cde Admire Ndlovu, Senator Hon. Tambudzani Mohadi, and National Executive Committee member of the War Veterans League Cde Ruth Mavhunga-Maboyi. The Senior ZANU PF Provincial Executive Committee was well represented, including Hon. Minister Albert Nguluvhe and Cde Washington Nkomo, among others. The leadership of the party leagues was led by Provincial Youth League Chairman Cde Moses Langa, Provincial Women’s League Chairman Cde Sindisiwe Nleya, and Provincial War Veterans League Chairman Cde Alfred Moyo. Additional attendees included Member of Parliament Hon. Tinashe Mushipe, DCC Chairman Cde Mlauzi, and Beitbridge RDC Council Chairman Cllr Chiromo.
In a practical demonstration of the party’s commitment to community development, the Provincial Chairman, Hon. Minister Ndhlovu, donated ten bags of cement towards the construction of a school in Makabule and a further ten bags of cement for Mtetengwe to support the construction of a community hall. The donation was received with appreciation and underscored the party leadership’s emphasis on linking political mobilisation with tangible development initiatives that directly benefit local communities within Beitbridge West Constituency.
