The ruling Party’s Secretary General, Cde Advocate Jacob Mudenda has challenged Masvingo Province to help ensure the ideological grounding of Party membership.
Speaking during the Provincial engagement programme, Cde Mudenda asked the Masvingo leadership to take a leaf from those in the religious sect who behave as according to their precepts.
“One of the most critical responsibility of the Provincial leadership is to ensure that our Party remains ideologically grounded, politically conscious and organizationally coherent,” Cde Mudenda said.
“Ideology is the guiding campus that defines where we are transversing as a Party, where are we going as a Party, who we are, what we stand for and how we relate with the people. Without ideological clarity, our structures become hollow, our programmes lose direction and our members become vulnerable to manipulation. It is therefore essential to every Provincial structure imbibes the Party’s ideology and is able to translate it into lived experience.”
