Mashonaland Central’s welcome song for the ruling Party’s Secretary General, Cde Advocate Mudenda, was a clear message for His Excellency, President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa that he is going nowhere as his duty to develop Zimbabwe is not over.
”Hamuyende hamusati mapedza. Va Mnangagwa ndimi munechimuti hamuyende,” were the lyrics of the song that the women and men danced to, so the message would be carried back to Harare.
Speaking during the Mashonaland Central Provincial Engagement meeting, Cde Mudenda encouraged the Province to select properly qualified people to fill in the positions of councillors so that they are not lost.
”Look for councillors who understand issues about development because during council meetings they sit down to discuss budgets, revenue streams or inflows. Development starts at a local level therefore choose people who are hard workers and not lazy,” Advocate Mudenda said.
He added that, “PCC must liaise to have children who have qualified for nursing to be employed through the Ministry of Health. This way our people in the rural areas will appreciate the ruling Party.”
He also encouraged those present to desist from being empty vessels.
