Johane the 5th of Africa International Church Founder Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu has commended the role played by media in promoting the country’s development agenda.

This he said during a church gathering held near Nkulumane Shopping Complex where congregates from Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South Provinces.

He said the role of the media is immense and must be appreciated.

"There's nothing as important as having God's word propelled by journalists. We have media personnel who have been advancing the good work being done by the J5 church. Jehovah says these journalists must be blessed and protected," Archbishop Makururu said.

"If our country has detractors, it is these same journalists who promote the correct narrative to the world. They will fight for their country and provide the footage to dispel the wrong information."
