It is crucial to understand the relationship shared with Palestine: Archbishop Makururu

By Staff Writer

Johane the 5th of Africa International Church Founder, Archbishop Andby Makururu says it is important to understand the history that Zimbabwe shares with Palestine.

Speaking during a service held in Harare this Sunday, Archbishop Makururu said taking a leaf from His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the Church continues to pray for peace for the people of Palestine.

"We have seen it fit to pray with the Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency, Tamer Almassari as we appreciate that God is the ruler of all. We want to send peace to Palestine and it is important for us to understand the relationship that we share with Palestine as the indigenous churches," he said.

"Our President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is a man of peace, love and unity and we follow in his footsteps of peace and love."

Archbishop Makururu took time to instill in the congregates the importance of loving one's country and the ruling ZANU PF Party, knowing where one comes from, honouring one's parents, loving one's neighbour as oneself, there's dignity in labour and stopping the drugs and substance abuse menace.

The service was attended by all branches from Harare Metropolitan Province among them, Aspindale, Boka, Chadcombe, Chishawasha and Mabvuku.

The service also witnessed an art performance by the Sunday School, music and dance as well as prayer and healing.
