Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor, I would like to applaud His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, for the removal of former Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Hon. Simelizwe Sibanda from office.

I have been trying to come to terms with the former Deputy Minister's actions, but I can not seem to. I have been asking myself questions among them, how one can abuse a position of authority and sow seeds of division in this day in age?

I have been asking myself and have been wondering if the calls by the President of Unity are heeding on deaf ears.

I believe that the decision by the President is timely and will serve as a lesson to all and sundry not to abuse the positions they have been entrusted with.

Simple facts such as how the sun or rain does not segregate people should help us understand that all people are human and serve our uttermost respect.

Our children cannot suffer from lack of education because of one person's misguided notions.
