ZANU PF First Secretary and President, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has commended the people of Midlands and Bulawayo for successfully hosting the Independence and ZITF events.
Speaking during the 383rd Ordinary Session of the Politburo, President Mnangagwa said the hospitality extended was commendable.
"Comrades, allow me yo preface my address at this 383rd Session of our Politburo by expressing my gratitude to the people of our beloved motherlan, Zimbabwe, Midlands and Bulawayo Provinces in particular, for successfully hosting the 45th Independence Celebrations and 65th Edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, respectively," President said.
"Despite the heavy rainfall we experienced, our people braved the weather to attend the main commemorations in Nembudziya, Gokwe, and in other venues across the country.
"Similary, I commend Bulawayo Province for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to our visitors at the 65th Edition of the ZITF, including this year's Guest of Honour, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, His Excellency, Cde Daniel Chapo."
