With Tanzania going for elections this year, Chama Chama Pinduzi CCM says it is expecting nothing more than more wins.
The ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party nominated President Samia Suluhu Hassan as its presidential candidate for the election and Emmanuel Nchimbi as her running mate.
In April 2025, the opposition Chadema party was disqualified from competing in the election after the National Electoral Commission said it had failed to sign a Code of Conduct document that was due on 12 April.
Speaking about the Party’s preparedness for the 28 October elections, Cde Rabia Abdalla Hamid, CCM's Secretary for Political Affairs and International Relations, said they expect to be on top.
"CCM is going for elections. The result expectations are very obvious this 2025. We are expecting nothing less but all more. We are expecting more Constituency win. We are expecting more ballots for Presidency," Cde Hamid said.
"We are expecting our fellow sisters from liberation movements to come support us and see how we do what we do. We are expecting not less than 80 percent of landslide win. We are expecting to be on the top."
